MY CITIZEN BAND HISTORY

My 11 meter history.

Started back in March "80, at that time CB was very popular in Belgium.
The first transceiver I worked with was a President Thomas,
a 40 channels with only AM mode.
Used this radio for about 5 months with a mobile antenna.
After that I put a 1/2 vertical on the roof,
and bought a Highgain V transceiver an 80 channel with ssb on it.
Believe it or not but the first contact I made was with Brazil, I could'nt believe it.
My second antenna followed quickly a 7/8 wave vertical Sigma 4,
only a few years later I began to work with a directional yagi.
I became an AT member in "81 my call was 16.AT.151, but I didn't
renew my membership and lost it. I became member again in "91
with 16.AT.151, and then lost interest again due to bad propagation in "94.
Started again in January "98 with 16.AT.117, my old callsign wasn't avaible anymore.
Till now I have 165 countries confirmed.

Here are the transceivers that I worked with:

President Thomas Hygain V Ham Internatioal Jumbo
Yaesu FT 107M Yaesu FT 757 GX Kenwood TS 570D
