THE HTML EDITOR

The HTML Editor will allow you to create and edit your HTML Documents.

There are many Shareware or Trial versions of HTML Editors available for download on the Internet. Most of them are aimed at 'the first time user' creating a Web Page and are simple and painless. I found the best way to start was to use the 'editor' provided by a FREE WEB SPACE Provider. These have easy to follow instructions and are user friendly. If you are more interested in downloading an HTML Editor from the Internet, I have provided some links below that could be of help. Many WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) Editors have a version you can download (free/shareware or Demoware). This is a good way for starting your first page.

TUCOWS
www.tucows.com
Your one-stop Share/Free/Demoware site. You will find many here that are WYSIWYG, non-WYSIWYG, or text Editors. I would recommend you go here.
Windows95.com
www.windows95.com
A great place to find Freeware and Shareware HTML Editors. There are many Editors here for you to choose from, and this Site also provides all the relevant information for each.
WebWerx
www.litewerx.dk
FREEware - This is displayed in the form of 'Notepad' for Windows but as an added bonus, with a simple click of the button you can put tags in your document. Since I use Notepad I downloaded WebWerx to see how major the difference would be. It is great! Exactly what I had been looking for, something similar to a text editor, yet has extras to help you take the strain out of typing repetitive tags.
W3e HTML Editor for Windows 95
www.nce.ufrj.br/~cracky/w3e/
This Editor was brought to my attention by Richard Carlson. FREEware and available in three versions - light edition, Java Blade or IMPACT (German and Portuguese versions also available). A fancy 'Notepad' styled Editor that keeps a backup, displays in TEXT and saves in HTML, refreshes automatically when you want to view changes, and has it own preview window.
