Mini-Rant

Many of you have noticed that I haven't updated in a month. Well, thank you to the people who didn't tell my "update your damn page!". I want to make this clear: I do this on my free time and when I don't have any free time, its the first thing to be cut from my schedule. In the past month I've: Gotten a new job, had several BIG projects due in school, gone out of town for three days, and slept the following two, Halloween, of course, looking for colleges, looking for jobs, refereeing, working on my MZX games, and working on xBox. Also, this job is unrewarding. I've almost never heard even a "thanks, man". I'm not asking for anything, but keep that in mind the next time you want to demand something from me.

Sivion Released... Sort of

Monthigos has released Sivion... sort of. You see, Sivion is being finished in VERGE (which I've already told you about). What has been done was released (except for music and sound effects). Thanks, Ace Reporters Snover, Sytem, and Guyver. (!)

SP Merges with NR

They just keep getting bigger, huh? Oh, and Guyver sends word that they are happy to have JH and Stargazer aboard.

THRIVE

Occasional Ace Sytem reports that a VERGE editor is in the works. It is Windows based and looks a LOT more integrated and easy to use than the current DOS based editor.Check it out.

Mystery Release

On the General Messages board on Epic's site, Epic was told us that another ZZT release is coming soon. VERY soon, like this week! No information on what exactly it is, but my guess is that it is either a Lost Worlds collection, or an upgrade of some sort, perhaps a new editor. But who knows? It'll come out soon.

ACE reporter yen

Blitzkriegzeux. Basically its a 20 minute (or less or more) contest of who can create the best game. Topics are chosen at before play to reduce cheating. yen has a page about it, and I might put one up here that is a bit more.. concise. Go to yen's page to take a look.

Oh yeah, and I've been hearing stuff about Legendd's MZX competitionwith cash prizes >= $1000 . . . the quote from Leg's page(http://www.wollongong.starway.net.au/~legendd/news.htm) is basically:

ASCii BRoS

I got this.

ASCii BRoS is a side scroller created by Chibi-Usa, vice-president of Exodus Entertainment. It's public beta as of this moment and the latest ver is 0.38. It's not up at the EE homepage, due to the fact that ryan hasn't updated in a loooong time. The latest ver you could get from the EE homepage is v0.32, i think.

NR gets Megazeux

Waka reports that NR (New Revolution) have struck a deal with Greg Janson himself and they have the Megazeux source code. No newsof what exactly the plan on doing, but hopefully, maybe, we'llfinally get MZX 3.

Ace Reporter Waka

1) Butz has quit #megazeux, and shall never return. He used to residein #square on AUSTnet, but since that channel was allegidly takenover, he has started another channel on a different net, and is notgiving out the name to anyone except his friends.

2) HQ2 is very near completion. In fact, AD should have betas byfriday. (Remember to add that if people bug emmzee about it, theywill be ritually shot.) I am assuming that emmzee doesn't care thatthis information is given out, because he announced it over#megazeux.

3) ASTeRiCk and myself are now working on ZTH2, along with Legendd,Monthigos, and SnigWich.

4) PiMan just got his own domain, zeux.net! He will hope to have suchlegendary MegaZeux web pages as the Megazeux Stockpile, The Realm ofMegazeux, and many others up on it, as well as every MegaZeux game hecan find.Note here. I'd like to move my pages there, talk to me, Pi.:)

Okay, I want a few guidelines.
1. Send news via email. If you tell me on IRC or ICQ, I'll prolly forget.
2. Do not send anything very opinionated.
3. Don't ask me to update with your news, unless its been like, two weeks.It is very annoying to be asked every five minutes.
4. Don't ask me why I didn't put up certain news, I reserve that right.
5. This should go without saying, but PLEASE make your news Megazeux (or other editor) related.

News from Ace Reporter Yen

Yen relays that there is another editor out there called Euphoria, though from what I've seenit looks more like a language. You can check it out for yourself at http://members.aol.com/filesEu/index.html.

Yen also mentions that yoblat (I would assume she means MenTaLboY) doing MZX only when he has time, captures the current spirit [revenge] of MZX. Sad, but I agree.

That was quick. :p Exodus has been cancelled due to memory problems, but it may be picked up later.
