It has become a standard practice for politically influenced institutions of today to give the explanation that it would benefit the poor and that everyone could use the services because it would be made more affordable, HOWEVER, the same argument was made by the government for Vodacom, and of course the government is now a majority shareholder. Instead of cellular calls becoming more affordable, they are now more expensive than ever before, and not even the middle class can afford such luxuries. This proves the point.
