CNC machine drill holder

This is the most complex part of the cnc. The drill holder is made up of two sections. The first part mounts the drill onto a vertical plate that moves up and down.

The second part has two drives, the first one moves the assembly horizontally over the tower assembly (the horizontal drive) and the second drive is the vertical drive that moves the drillmounting up and down. This part is basivally a carcass box that is built up using aluminium sheets and L-profiles. The L profiles below clamp the carcass over the tower assembly, whilst the L profiles, on the side, clamp the drill mounting. A spacer plate is placed within the carcass so that the M6 clamps are screwed to the carcass without any bolts protuding on the slidable surface of the carcass.

Please note that the vertical drive as shown in the diagrams will be extended to reach for the vertical threaded rod. An M6 will then push the drill mounting up or down.
