The majority of the sites we've developed
are for small businesses.
Below are samples of the
web sites created by Visual Impact Chicago.
These samples are stored
on this server to demonstrate
our services. Full
versions are available online.

All web sites begin with a concept design. Visual Impact Chicago
will work with you closely to find the design that best suits you.
Many times, multiple designs are concepted until just the right one is
found. This is possibly the most important stage in the whole process.
The design of your web page defines the visitor's experience, and offers
them a visual first impression.

This page
design,
done for a Chicago Museum, has a high-impact graphic
design. The design should speak to your viewers before any words
are read. "What's in" is contemporary, elegant, clean, design.
Keep it simple. "What's out" is flaming logos, annoying flashing
images, too many pictures, busy background images, and above all - pages
that take forever to load. Remember this: "content is king and speed
rules." |

This is an example of a recent web site with a contemporary design, solid color schemes,
and consistent format. The index page (first page viewed) has a modern
simplistic feel. The
first
page
should
contain one main image, such as a corporate log or a collage of images
that visually describe your business. |
The home
page
of a web site should verbally describe your business. This, along
with the imagery from the index page are all you have to captivate a new
browser's interest. Here, the company describes who they are,
and what they do. Keep it simple. Keep it one page or less. |

E-Commerce (electronic
commerce) is definitely a HOT buzz word on the net. If you've got
products to sell, or services to offer, we can offer on-line,
secure
server transactions. We can set up a virtual store front or a
product catalog if you have a lot of products to offer. Here,
5 items are offered. The total cost is automatically added, and credit
card information is stored in a database on a password protected secure
server. |
Password
protected sites can be administered in a variety of ways using an easy-to-edit
java applet. New users or clients can be added to the site with a
simple windows friendly interface. The advantage to this java applet
is that you can control not only who has access to certain areas on your
site, but you can also control the default link for each user. For
example, you can send your preferred clients go to a restricted VIP
page that others do not have access to. |
 |
 |
Forms
are standard features which introduce a vital aspect of interactivity to
your clients. Forms can be used for RFP/RFQs
(request
for proposal/quotation), new customer information, password requests, guest
books, e-mail correspondence, or
online
purchases. |
Pages that are accented
with images and free flowing formats provide a rich
experience.
This page is an example of a 'secured page', which is only available to
registered users or VIP clients. |

The front page (left) of
this Photo Album
was
done in Photo Shop. The images blend together to form a distinct
visual image of what the following pages have to offer. The contents (right)
display thumbnail images in each section and easy-to-use navigation buttons. |

This site was done for
an equipment manufacturer. The highlights
of their pages are the products
they sell. This page design was done in 1997 and has some outdated
web page design formats. |
This page describes a specific
product
and
provides technical specifications, marketing information, and visually
descriptive images. The RS111 was a new product and the 3D rendered
images, done by Visual Impact, were used in a national advertisement before
the product was introduced. |
 |
 |
This site was done for
a steel company. The 3D logo
was
also created by Visual Impact. This site also is focused on providing
technical
specifications
and company information. The site has a very basic format and was
completed in about one week. |
