VU2LID on QRP !

When I came on the air for the first time during 1983 (with the call VU2FLY) the equipment that I used was a homebuilt QRP transceiver with around 5 Watts output on the 7 MHz band. Like many Ham Radio projects this transceiver also had several incarnations from the initial design having CA3028 product detector/2N3866 style final amplifier to later modifications having SRA1-H or 1N4148 diode rig product detector/final amplifier having two BD139s in parallel. I operate mostly on CW. Because of this I never really made any serious efforts to convert these for AM operation.
