We would like to welcome you to The Scene! Please ... sit, relax and let the Jet take you away!

The Scene is an unofficial mailing list dedicated to Silver Jet. On the list, fans discuss their thoughts on the rockin' band. Reviews, meetings, concerts ... whatever ... is what we post up on the Scene. If you haven't joined yet ... then what the hell are you waiting for? Join now!!! The list is sent out every once or twice a week in a digest form.

Anyway ... our special thanx goes out to "The Boys" ... Silver Jet! Of course ... if it weren't for them, this List wouldn't have existed!

On July 29, 1997, we were able to catch their opening show in Seattle. Dogstar was the main act ... sorry to say, Dogboys, but Silver Jet kicked more ass than you! Hee hee! They totally rocked and we could tell by the crowd that they loved them too.

After the show, we had the awesome pleasure to meet the band. Just to let ya'll know ... they are the sweetest guys around! So the next time you catch them at a show ... please, go up and rave to them about how much you dig their music!

Anyway, before the show even started, there was a mailing list sign up sheet at the merchandise stand. We signed up and everything ... but Silver Jet's "official" list hasn't been active just yet. So we created the The Scene ... umm, yeah, I guess you can say that we couldn't wait! Sorry!

I ditto Allysa and Kayte. And I thank them too for creating the list. As my friends know, I have enough lists to handle and even though I had thought about creating the Scene myself, time just didn't allow it. I'm so glad that Allysa and Kayte went ahead. And I'm just tickled that my suggestions for the names were most voted on among the "Kids." It does my heart proud to know that.

*sniff*

Ok. Enough of the sentiments! *grin* Even though I do have my own little Silver Jet story to tell but you can read about that somewhere through the links and on the homepage. All I will say is this, "You guys could have pretended to be concerned when the cops pulled my friend and I over." *grin* The Silver Jet van was right behind us when we had finally left the club in Baltimore. They then pulled up next to us. My friend and I were talking about what a night we just had and were babbling away until we heard sirens. PANIC! The cop pulled us over and asked us where we were from. Because according to the very nice officer, "We tend to drive with our headlights on in Baltimore." My friend forgot to turn on her headlights! How can we explain to the officer that our eyes were so bright with stars from seeing Silver Jet and Dogstar that night that we didn't realized that the headlights weren't on? I don't think that's an acceptable excuse. But, the thing that made the whole thing funny was that I turned to my right and there was the white van! And the Silver Jet guys were grinning from ear to ear and pointing and looking at us through their window. Instead of being embarrassed, I started laughing! I thought it was hilarious! "Hey, can't you guys vouch for us?!?! Tell the nice officer that we're just on a concert high. You guys are the reason why we forgot to turn on the headlights after all." *smile*

There's hidden soundbites throughout the pages, and I'm constantly finding and adding new ones every week. Thanks to one and all for sending me the live shows.
