On The Go
Taking up a sport or going to aerobics classes are
good examples of getting physically fit while you are on the go. Exercises
such as aerobics, running, swimming, or gymnastics do not require any major
equipment - usually, just a pair of good shoes!![]() Combat
Fitness
Martial arts and other combat sports are probably
the best examples of physical fitness. The age old art of mano a mano
combat is perhaps the most physically demanding, and only the best athletes
can excel at it. Combat fitness includes all combative types of martial arts, as well as boxing and wrestling.![]() There is also an old adage that women should not be physically fit. However, women are much more likely to attend health club in 2002 then they were in 1982, around the time this photo was taken. ![]() As a matter of fact, it is more likely to meet women at the gym in the year 2002 than it is to meet men, due partially to increasing acceptance for unisex health clubs and a woman's willingness to stay in shape. In short the realm of physical fitness has changed quite a bit since the early 80's. Who knows what new realms of fitness will come in the 21st century. Still, it should be noted that most if not all types of physical fitness already available will still be in vogue in the future. |
