Two strangers, a warning, and a headache #2 Falling, falling, falling. A sense of downward movement and that was all. What would happen when she landed? “ I guess I can only wait and see.” Hakari drifts back into unconsciousness. Inuyasha: “ What in nine shades of hell is THAT!” Miroku: “ I don’t know Inuyasha. It’s not a demon, I don’t know what it is.” The girls huddle behind the two boys and whisper Sango: “ What do you think it is, Kagome?” Kagome: “ I’m not real sure, but I don’t think it means us harm, or else it would have attacked by now. Miroku’s right, it’s not a demon, it seems… I don’t know…” Voice: “ Be not afraid, I come to give warning.” {The glowing thing begins to take human shape, though it is still too bright to look at. Group: Wha-? Inuyasha: “ What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Miroku: “ What my rather crude friend means to say is, what do you mean by “ give warning”?” Kagome: “ And what are you, might I ask?” Thing: “ I am one of the few ethereal spirits left on this planet. And I come to tell you of a new journey you have been chosen to take…” Inuyasha opens his mouth to say something rude when Sango interrupts him Sango: “ Excuse me, but what journey, and chosen by whom?” Ethereal spirit: “ You have been chosen by the guardians of Earth to once again collect the Shikon-no-Tama, which has been broken into twelve pieces and scattered over the face of the planet.” Group: “ WHAT?!” Inuyasha: “ I thought we’d destroyed that stupid jewel!” Kagome: (Quietly)“Please tell me you’re joking.” Ethereal spirit: “I jest with you not.” Miroku: “If we didn’t destroy it, what happened and …” Sango: “Who stole it?” Ethereal spirit: “As it was about to be destroyed, we three spirits joined our powers and retrieved it before the final blow could be struck. We hid it in a holy place, but it was taken.” Inuyasha: (Under breath)“ So much for holy place, leave it to someone stupid to lose the damn thing.” Sango: “Inuyasha, when will you learn to just shut your mouth?” Miroku: “SHHHHHH.” Kagome: “Who…?” Es: (I got tired of writing Ethereal spirit all the time, so I’ll just abbreviate it Es.) “A very evil woman, by the name of…Kanisha, I believe it was. We tried to stop her before she could take it, yet we did not prevail. Yet, in a twisted sense of fate, the jewel shattered, unable to stand the level of evil radiating from her. Even now she seeks the fragments. So now, once again you shall seek the jewel.” Fx group: Groan Es: The Ethereal spirit fades away into nothing, and Inuyasha rushes forward to the spot it had just been. Inuyasha: “ What the- hey!” Miroku: “ What do you think it meant by wait for the one with the mark on her hand? Hey! I wonder if she’d…” Group (except Miroku.): “NO!” Sango: Wacks Miroku in the back of the head with her hand. “Don’t you even think it Miroku!” Miroku: “ Well then Sango, How about y-… Group (except Miroku.): “ NO!” Miroku: Comic sigh “Well it was worth a try, anyway.” Sango: “ Well come on you guys, lets get back to Kaedes' old place, It’ll be dark soon.” Throws Miroku a very dirty look. The group begins walking out of the clearing, Inuyasha hesitates. Inuyasha: “ What was that? I thought I sensed a demon. It seems to be coming closer, but where from?” Miroku: “ What in gods name is he doing?” “ Hey, Inuyasha, are you coming?” Inuyasha ignores him and continues looking. He stops and looks at the Bone- gobblers well. Inuyasha: To self “ There! It’s coming through the well! But what could possibly be coming? Kagome and I are the only ones who can use it…” Ah, finally, a light up ahead. It would be nice to be out of the darkness. Yet this darkness, it seemed so familiar. As if she’d been there before… Hakari bursts out of the darkness and finds herself on her back in the bottom of the well. Hakari: “The well? But the darkness… and the wind….? What happened? Looks up and sees open skies and trees Hakari: “Trees? But wasn’t the well under a roof?” looks over to her side and sees some vines leading to the top and begins to climb. She climbs to the top and looks around. Hakari: “Well, I’m certainly not at the shrine anymore. From the looks of it, there’s no houses around at all.” Inuyasha: Hiding behind some bushes. “Ha! There. That must be the demon. Yet, she doesn’t look like one…” Miroku: “Hey, Inuyasha, wha-“ Inuyasha: “sshhhhhhhhhhhh” points towards Hakari. Miroku: Whispers “Who is she?” “ A demon.” Miroku: “She doesn’t look like one.” Inuyasha: “You should know that doesn’t mean anything. Can’t you sense it?” Miroku: “ Yes, I suppose you’re right. What should we do about it?” Inuyasha: “ I’ll distract her, then you go behind her and knock her out.” Miroku: “ Rather cruel and devious, don’t you think. Ah well, I suppose she could be up to something. Better to be on the safe side I suppose. Though I hate to do it.” Inuyasha: “ If you’re done, we’d better get going.” Miroku: fx: sigh Inuyasha jumps out of the bushes in front of Hakari. Fx clothes: fwip Inuyasha: “Hey you!” Hakari almost falls back into the well and looks at Inuyasha with a startled look. Finishes climbing out of the well and stands in front of it. “Yeah? What do you want? (Hesitates) Uh, sorry, but could you tell me where I am?” Inuyasha: “ Feh. Cut the crap. I know you’re a demon, so why don’t you go ahead and reveal your true form?” Hakari: “ Wha-what do you-” Miroku’s staff comes crashing down on Hakari and she crumples, unconscious to the ground. Miroku and Inuyasha come and stand over Hakari. Miroku: “Hmm, quite a pretty thing isn’t she?” Inuyasha: “ Forget that you idiot, look at her clothes.” Miroku: “ What about them? I admit, their a bit strange looking but what does that have to do with anything?” Inuyasha: “ When I went to Kagome’s time, I remember seeing clothes just like these.” Miroku: “ So what, you’re saying is that she’s from Kagome’s time.” Inuyasha: “Possibly, she did come out of the well. I guess we should bring her back to the hut. Ya’ know, and question her.” Miroku: “ I’m impressed Inuyasha, thinking ahead like that. Ah yes, would you like me to carry her?” Inuyasha: Snorts “ Uh, no.” under breath “ Damn pervert.” Later on back at the hut. Kagome is kneeling next to Hakari mopping her forehead with a wet rag. Kagome: “ You know you guys, you didn’t have to play such a dirty trick on her.” Sango: Sitting in the corner of the room sharpening her sword with Kilala lying not far from her. “ I agree with Kagome you guys, she probably couldn’t have done much damage anyway.” Inuyasha: “ She’s demon, I know it.” Kagome: “ I can sense it too. Yet she doesn’t even resemble one at all.” Glimpses down at Hakari’s neck and sees’ a golden chain leading under the shirt. “ Hey, what’s this?” Kilala begins to growl and Hakari’s eyes open wide and glare at Kagome.
