Jan Thompson's Block

Jan sent me this block in exchange for the block that I sent her. She put on a tie label which just happened to say California - her home state. The gold flowers in the top-right corner are bias cut silk.

Karen Young's Block

Karen sent me this block in exchange for one I sent her.

She really packed the embellishments onto this block! Unfortunately the scan doesn't do it justice. The persian cat in particular is way prettier in person. Karen came up with several innovative ideas that I'm looking forward to borrowing. Be sure to read what Karen had to say about her block when she sent it to me.

Miriam Lander's Block

Miriam sent me this block in exchange for one I sent her. I like the way she did the beaded centers for the SRE flowers in the lower-left corner. I've used her method of putting seed beads around a larger center bead in some of my blocks.

Priscilla Shrock's Block

Priscilla sent me this block in exchange for one I sent her. The beads in the center piece came from a thrift-store necklace. I like the chain stitch and bugle bead combo. I learned to put seed beads at the ends of bugle beads from seeing this block. One of the things that I like best about swapping blocks is that I learn something new from each one.
