Readings for Week 12

Read: Pages 140-157

Thoughts for the Week:

No experience is visited upon any soul against the
soul's will. (140)

Glorify what you are today yet do not condemn what you
were yesterday, nor preclude what you could become
tomorrow. (140)

Nothing is painful which you understand is not real. (143)

Impermanence is the only truth. (144)

I do not punish. I love. (147)

There is nothing base or gross, or "less than dignified"
(much less _sanctified_ about a passionate, desire-filled
sexual experience. (155)

Look for the answers to these questions:

 1. Is there an end to life? (140)
 2. Is the experience of death of the physical body ever
visited up on a soul against its will? (140)
 3. Why does the soul not regret the death of the physical
     body? (141)
 4. Why is death an illusion? (143)
 5. Why is "impermanence" the only truth? (144)
 6. Does God require endless suffering? (147)
 7. Does God punish the suicide? (147)
 8. What marks us as a "primitive" society? (149)
 9. Where does enlightenment begin? (150)
10. Is it a requirement of the highly evolved that all
     sexual expression be muted? (152-3)

Things to Think About:

How do you feel about suicide? Assisted suicide?

The numbers in parenthesis after the quotes
and questions refer to the pages of CWG 3 on
which this information is found.
