Readings for Week 21

Read: Pages 244-255

Thoughts for the Week:

The body does not house the soul. It is the other way
around. (246)

Nothing happens against the will of God. (248)

Everything We are doing, We are doing in concert
with each other. (250)

There is no free will if to exercise it in certain ways
produces punishment. (253)

Every act is an act of self-definition. (253)

No matter is inconsequential. (254)

Look for the answers to these questions:

   1. When does the soul join the body? (245)
   2. If the soul does not enter the body, how is
the connection made between the two? (246)
   3. Is there such a state as "dead"? (246)
   4. When does life begin? (247)
   5. What is life an expression of?  (248)
   6. Why can't something happen against God's will? (248)
   7. Does any individual aspect of Divinity have power
       over any other aspect? (251)
   8. Why are there no "victims" or "villains"? (251)
   9. What is the one reason to be, do, or have
       anything? (251)
10a. What do highly evolved cultures believe about
the separation between themselves and God? (252)
    b. Between themselves and others? (252)
  11. Why do all creatures believe that God is on their
        side? (253)

Things to Think About:

How do you counter the "blame the victim" mentality
which reasons that if nothing can happen against one's
will, then one must have "asked for" any hurtful
experiences which befalls a person?

The numbers in parenthesis after the quotes
and questions refer to the pages of CWG 3 on
which this information is found.
