If you're a first time user of Evacuee Sanctum, you might be wondering what the hell it's about. Well, here it is. A more or less serious historic lesson about how this site came about.

The actual site cycled through many many names throughout its lifetime. First it was simply called BGM's Story Fest. Then it went to Enigma ... then a few which I forget. It finally rested on Evacuee Sanctum, simply because I like the name. So deal with it.

As for content, this more or less remained consistant. I was looking for a place to put my stories, and a webpage seemed fun at the time. Now I'm chained to it like a slave monkey. Oh well.

What is it I write about? I write slash.

Slash, slash, n. (slashing, slashed). Any form of writing that involves a relationship of a romantic and/or sexual nature between two individuals of the same gender. (See Slash)

Oh you want specifics? I write G/B slash.

G/B, jë-bee, n. An abbreviation, or code if you will, for the pairing of Elim Garak and Julian Bashir in popular fan-fic.

More? I write G/B slash because I LOVE IT!

Man, you want even more? All right, I got involved in G/B slash primarily because of my obsession with Elim Garak and his own obsession with Julian Bashir.

Garak, gar'ack, n. An obscure individual whom harbors an affinity for obsfuscation.
Bashir, Bash'eer, n. An overzealous, overly enthusiastic youth who is in serious need of a spanking.
