What is Slash? - Tuesday, December 15, 1998 12:14 AM What's the odd girl talking about? Slash? A quick F.A.Q:
A brief definition of it would be any sexual or romantic relationship between two individuals of the same gender.
No, the broad definition includes female/female pairings. I simply chose to focus on two men, so for me, slash is about two men.
Absolutely not. Granted, when one hears 'slash', one automatically assumes that there will be some sexual relations going on. But my own definition of slash encompasses romanticism as well. I consider even a kiss slashy. A look. A touch. Even UST (Unresolved Sexual Tension), which essentially, has no sexual situation whatsoever.
If this is your attitude to begin with, then you probably shouldn't be here in the first place. It's the 24th century. If they can fly a spaceship into a space-time anomaly that allows them to time-travel or travel millions and millions of light years in one nano-second, I can bring slash into the equation without disupting the grand scheme of things, thank you very much.
We'll forget for a moment that Garak is possibly the vampiest man on television and that Bashir would probably win a female beauty contest if someone added a wig and a touch of makeup ... it's my world and I'll do with it as I please. I've seen too much innuendos and suggestive remarks between those two than my brain will simply not compute Garak=heterosexual, Bashir=heterosexual. Sorry. Well this conclude our little lesson - if you have any additional questions, please feel free to email me. [update] [about.this.site] [disclaimer] [credits] [site.map] [webrings] [links] [awards]
