I must say that I worship many artists & envy their respective talents, so it's hard to put them all on one puny page....(deep breath)...here goes!!!...
- Edward Gorey is unquestionably the artist I most wish I had access to as a small, impressionable child. His style is so amazingly eerie & yet, at the same time, incredibly amusing....I just can't get over how DAMN GOOD this man is....
- Michael Kaluta, who is an exceptionally NICE FELLOW (who gave me free stuff once & I'm still greatful, Michael!!), did the 1994 Tolkien Calendar--exquisite!! He has also worked on numerous other nifty projects, as he is highly cool!
- Another staple of my fantasy art diet is Brian Froud. Most people may be familiar with his work on the book FAERIES with Alan Lee or his illustrations for the equally neat, if slightly more skewed PRESSED FAIRY BOOK.
- The same poor soul that introduced me to Diamanda Galas led to me to the worship of Berni Wrightson. Wrightson..wow..what can you say...he draws melting people very well...
- Tony DiTerlizzi...some very Rackhamesque stuff here....YUM!
