Smile,
Don't,
Rising Again,
Untitled
Smile
Don’t let on
Don’t let them know
Just nod and smile
Don’t let it show
Uncross your arms
And slap on a smile
Forget your life
And live for a while

Don't
Don’t turn around
Leave me in the shadow
This is my hiding
You really shouldn’t know
Don’t tell me that
You know what is the truth
Have you been in my place
When the world was so cruel?
Don’t make assumptions
And keep your eyes closed
You did it so well before
When I needed you most
Don’t say a word
I’m used to the silence
It is my asylum
With things I can’t handle
Don’t be a hero
You’re too late to save me
Why weren’t you here before
Did you just start to see?
Don’t ask me questions
Why the sudden interest?
I’ve kept it in too long
You won’t get an answer
Don’t think that you’re right
You’re way off base
You couldn’t possibly see
You’re walking in a haze
But don’t think I’m mad
I don’t really blame you
I blame myself and the world
For being so hateful

Rising Again
Did you think me weak
when I crumbled and fell
before your eyes?
Did you think I’d give up
without you beside me
on my own?
Did you think I’d die
from the stabbing silence
inside me?
Well I’ve got news
the fall has only made me stronger
now I’m rising again

Untitled
I prayed for the sun
But all I got was rain
I wished for relief
But all I felt was pain
I was given jewels
That I wasn’t allowed to see
I imagined comfort
That I really couldn’t feel
I was standing in a crowd
Yet I was alone
I was taken care of
Yet I was on my own
I turned on the lights
But the dark remained
I acted controlled
When I felt insane
I made myself promises
That I couldn’t keep
I thought life was hopeless
Being on my knees
But I raised my head
Looked up to the sky
Stood my ground
And refused to cry
As the clouds parted
I opened my eyes
And felt new hope
Rise to the sky
