Drifting,
High,
Chance,
Waiting for the Bus,
Past
Drifting
Drifting, drifting
deep into a fantasy
Drifting carelessly
losing body and soul
Drifting helplessly
rolling the dice
Drifting endlessly
not thinking twice
Drifting far away
towards a better world
Drifting uncontrollably
out into eternity

High
More than a while's gone by
and I'm still way high
the low is far out there
flown outta my reach
not that the high is bad
it's awesome while it lasts
but when the low rears its head
everything falls dead
and I'm back where I started
hoping for something
wishing for anything
to get me high again
back to the wicked high
the careless state of mind
I'm not talking 'bout coke
some weed or the speed
all I need is him
or a meaningless thing
that reminds me of him
and I'm up again

Chance
What's a chance for
If you only get one?
So rarely do you get two
And when you're lucky enough
You blow it big time
Then fate rolls the dice
And you're out in the cold
Shut out forever
No one to turn to
For a third chance
When destiny beats fate
And fate grudges destiny
You're a helpless victim
Wishing for chances
'Cause you know
Like no one else
That you learn from mistakes
But what are mistakes for
If you don't get a chance
To learn from them?

Waiting for the Bus
Waiting for the bus
Shielding my face
from the cruel wind
Cursing under my breath
That I got stuck here
I got stuck in hell
It’s a long way from heaven
I bought a one way ticket
No choice but to say yes
Regretting it to no end
Every day gets worse
I look down the stairs
Willing myself to turn back
But a force keeps me going
Plunging into the heavy darkness
The light is dimmed out
The tunnel is creepy and dark
It reminds me of the wind
The ice and the cold
As I wait for the bus

Past
I close my eyes
Drift off for a while
Remember the past
Get back that smile
The moment passed by
The magic is gone
It won’t happen again
It went by once
All that’s left are
Memories in a heap
Never stirred up again
Put forever to sleep
I can’t change the past
But I can remember it fondly
Going back from time to time
All I can say is sorry
There’s nothing I wouldn’t give
To be there again
Go back to that time and place
That’s now so far away
