MARCUS AMPHITHEATER

The largest venue on the grounds, the Marcus Amphitheater seats 24,000 people. Most seating is paid reserved seating (in addition to your Summerfest admission); tickets are available at Ticketmaster Online. Several thousand lawn seats are available for each show on a first-come, first-served basis. Hand stamps for lawn seats are available in the forecourt of the Marcus Amphitheater the day of the show.

If there is a show you really want to see I recommend buying reserved seats, however. The acoustics in the lawn seats aren't that good.

Location:

The Marcus Amphitheater is located on a peninsula on the far south end of the Summerfest grounds. Access to the area is restricted to those holding tickets for the evening's performance or having a hand stamp for the lawn seats.

Beer:

The selection of beer is pretty limited at the Amphitheater; Miller Genuine Draft and Lite are your only choices. There are several beer stands in the food court area of the amphitheater, plus a large stand at the top of the lawn seats. Unfortunately, when you put 24,000 people in the Amphitheater (and most shows DO sell out), you can expect long lines when you want a beer.
