Summerfest spreads its music over several large stages throughout the festival
grounds.
The largest venue on the grounds, the Marcus Amphitheater seats 24,000 people. Most
seating is paid reserved seating; tickets are available at Ticketmaster Online. Several thousand lawn
seats are available for each show on a first-come, first-served basis. Hand stamps for
lawn seats are available in the forecourt of the Marcus Amphitheater the day of the show.
Probably the loudest stage on the grounds, the Big Backyard features plenty of beer
tents and... just as importantly... probably the most accessible restrooms of any stage.
A relative newcomer to the Summerfest scene, the Leinie Lodge has established itself as
one of the better stages on the grounds.
Easily the largest of the free stages, the Miller Oasis holds a key location between
the main entrance gate and the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse.
What had been the old Pabst Showcase has repositioned itself as a crossroads for all
types of music at Summerfest. Depending upon the day you might find oldies, country, or
rock-and-roll playing at this stage.
Long Live the Rock Stage! Located on the far north end of the grounds, the rock stage
got a bit of a makeover last year when some of the bleacher seats were removed, giving
everyone a better view of Lake Michigan.
The Sprecher stage is the place to find great local and national rhythm-and-blues
talent.
