MY LIFE - NOVEMBER

I didn't get up until 2 today because I felt awful again. I had a headache and couldn't breath this morning. It was so bad that I didn't hear my phone ring at 10:30 in the morning, although whoever it was didn't leave a message or anything, so it must not have been important.

I got up and finally managed to get myself to get dressed and head down to Strongsville to pick up my check and found out some interesting things while down there. Number one was that Tom was getting a partner right around when I'm supposed to come back and cover Debbie's vacation. This guy's apparently from Marcs, so we'll find out if he can handle it.

I also learned that one of the pharmacists at Olmsted Falls, which is about 20 minutes from my store, quit and is going to, where else, Marcs. So we get a pharmacist and they get one of ours. Interesting if you ask me. I wonder how long before they both quit and decide to go to different stores too. It seems that 4300 would be a good store for someone to go to though. It's a slow store that has good tech help.

I also finally got my certificate saying I'm PSA certified with the company, which means I'm technically a pharmacy service associate and not a tech. Fuck it. I'm a tech, it just isn't official yet though. I have to go through the drive-thru and automation manuels and then I get a certificate saying I'm a pharmacy tech for real. I finally got this certificate though, so I have to try and get a 30 cent raise like I'm supposed to.

I haven't met my new district manager yet. I haven't even really looked around my store that much. I still don't know where anything is. It's amazing to me that I haven't had that chance yet. It's been that busy. I guess tomorrow when it's slow I'll take a look around and see if I can't figure out where everything's at. I need to know at some point since I knew where everything was in my last store.

I'm not sweating that though. It'll come to me with time. Anyway, I talked to Debbie and Lenny for a while. Debbie seemed interested to know what she had to do to get a certificate saying she was a pharmacy tech and I told her that Tom had to do something, but I wasn't sure yet. I did tell her that I would ask Steve and then call her and let her know when I found out.

It was nice to see some of the old faces again, but I think it's clear to them that I'm not coming back anytime soon, aside from the vacation coverage. It's probably hit them that I'm comfortable in my new store and not distressed at all.

I was home most of today though, although my attempts at updating the My Life archives were unsuccessful simply because I kept losing my connection. I don't know, today was one of those days where every time I got online and got things going in a good direction, I lost my connection and sometimes couldn't get it back for a long time.

I think I got one or two days updated, but that was about it. The connection was slow when I did manage to get on, and I was interrupted more than once by the connection going out. It was a little better later on in the night, but not by much. I was only disconnected once though, so it was an improvement. I also had to deal with my browser playing little games on me all day and night.

The internet was haunted tonight, I'm sure of it. I even told the person I was talking to online that I was waiting for the computer to start spitting out something green. It was just one of those days where you wondered what was going to happen next. But when it counted, I was able to get online and get some things done. Not a whole lot, but more than I thought I would.

I work until 10 tomorrow, so tomorrow's entry will definitely be a little later than normal, although I don't expect that to be much more different than any other day. I don't usually write the entry until 12 or 12:30am anyway, so this means it'll probably be 1am when I write tomorrow's entry, unless I write it Sunday since I'm off.

It's going to be weird working until 10 on a Saturday though. I haven't done that since my first couple months at the old store when I worked a couple of 1:30-10 shifts. It's almost always been 9-5:30, although next week I work 10-6. It's just going to be weird not having to get up at 7. It doesn't seem like I'll have to get up early for work at all right now since I'm needed at night.

It doesn't bother me either. Sure, it'll make making plans that much more difficult, but I don't mind working until 10. There's always someone to talk to there and there's a lot to do if it gets quiet. So it doesn't bother me like it did at the old store. At my old store, if it was quiet, you had nothing to do whatsoever. It would drive you nuts too because you want something to keep you a little occupied, but you'd never have anything.

This store is different though. Like I said before, I like working at this store and I'm glad I transfered.
