The Reception
Fairway Manor
5:00 p.m.

After the formal pictures at the church, the wedding party climbed in the limos and headed for Fairway Manor where our guest were assembling. We went up to the gazebo Do not look directly into the sun! for some more formals and a little fun.

Back down to the Manor we lined up for introductions. After mispronouncing most of the names of the people in the wedding party, the DJ asked everyone to "please stand and rise" while he introduced us Once again, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold. Gary and I danced Our first dance as husband and wife our first dance to George Strait's "Cross My Heart." The wedding party was seated Let's eat!at the head table (someplace I remember being for like 2 minutes) for the Best Man's toast and the blessing. Oakie's toast If you need a quarter, call me was a "fly by the seat of my pants" humorous look at friendship, while Robin blessed us Many screaming brats! with "many screaming brats."

We had a little dinner, then hit the dance floor. We had a great time dancing Let's CONGO! and playing around. We cut the cake I hope this taste good! and nicely fed it to each other Yummy!, even though our guests were urging us to make a mess. We celebrated my grandparents' 50th anniversary Dancing for 50 years with the Anniversary Waltz. Our guests enjoyed dancing Dancin' for $$$ with us during Show me the money! the Dollar Dance What are they looking at?. The dancing continued with the Chicken Dance Show us how, Oakie!, the Y.M.C.A, the Macrena Jen, you're going too fast!, the Electric Slide, and the Hokey Pokey Put your RIGHT arm in, Brittany!. Of course, there was more dancing. Overall, I think everyone got on the floor at least once! My little brother Show us your moves, baby! did not want to stop!

Gary retrieved the garter Watch those fingers! and I tossed the bouquet Come on, Janis!. Then Gary tossed the garter Go for the garter, guys!. My brother Craig and a co-worker Diane wished us many years Let's go for 90 years! with tradition of putting the garter on the recipient of the bouquet. The reception wound down and Gary and I headed back to his parents' house to change and head for the hotel!
