This great timeless movie by Abel
Ferrara is really a threat for Christopher Walken fans ! Classy, really
classy.
Abel certainly used Christopher's
talents on all accounts, cause you feel for this crime boss, especially
in the end! It's strange when you watch this violent and really uncomfy
movie, you can actually see their point, strange as it is, but also feel
the hopeless situation of the "right side". It just goes to show Abel did
a magnificent job in directing this movie in a stylish manner.
The opening scene is so intriguing
and strong, it captures you while you haven't yet seen much.
Uncomfortable should be Abel's
middle name, as you really feel the opposite to this so called classy lifestyle
Frank White leads : being always on the run and being lonely after all.
Nevertheless the movie leaves room
for funny situations as well. Because of what's been said, because of mannerism
and stuff.
There's only one thing : you don't want to go to New York after seeing this. *L*
King of New York was released in 1989.
