The Beyond Cayuga's Water's Forum

David Grannis: As I am posting this page, I might as well put up the first comment. Welcome to the updated "Beyond Cayuga's Waters Lite" webpage, and thank you for coming. Please write in whenever you feel like it, on the topic being discussed below or with something new and fresh. I envision this page being good for general alumni discussion, passing around news, finding other people, etc. Hopefully this will become a useful reference source and an entertaining discussion group. I will stop at this point to announce a small reunion trip to Ithaca on August 6-9, with '97 alums planning on meeting back for a weekend of fun. With that out of the way, let me open up the floor.

Steve Kinsey: (paraphrased by D. Grannis) I think the webpage is a good idea, but this server has to go. Hopefully this forum and the personal information page will help keep people in touch.

Dave Grannis: I couldn't agree more, Steve. Hopefully, someone with more skill at designing webpages that I will fix the site, and we can put it on a different site. For this page, I know there is good software that can be downloaded for use in bulletin boards. One well-known program is Ultimate Bulletin Boards, and it has a freeware version. If someone is willing to figure out how it works and get these pages on a server that will support it, that would be a good step! Keeley?
All feedback is appreciated. See you at the reunion!

Geoff Hoffman: well, it seems that we have parallel efforst going on, cause there was a heavyweight page for several years, that i am in the process of taking over, and folding into my own page. i already have some stuff set up on my web page, including a form that send people information to me. I eventually want this to be in a groovy filemaker thing. JTM has a filemaker database that i want to expand, and i have the filemaker server thing, and like i said, if i can get a cable modem or something crazy like that, then i plan on setting all of this up, with a live-updateable thing. still needing to sort some stuff out.
i don't know anything about ultimate bulletin board. what is it, and how does it work?
i am planning on adding a news section to it, but at the moment, i do have it set up yet.... i suppose i should put this thing up on it....
