School is almost over. I have two more finals, one tomorrow and one Thrursday. I am very much looking forward to the reprieve...although I think I need to pay for next semester soon. Boy oh boy am I TIRED.
You know my life isn't half bad. It is nowhere near as complex as it could be, yet all the while it is busy. I guess I resent the constant going and moving and doing all the time. It isn't as bad as it has been in the past but it is still kind of annoying.
I got to see Depeche Mode last night...that was really great. DM is one of those event bands that it is a really big deal if you can see and I had a blast seeing them. Of course Stabbing Westward opened for them which was awesome if not a bit short. My perspective on the band has changed somewhat due to some extra insight I gained about them as people from a friend of mine but that is okay, I still love 'em. I got to meet Walter(keyboards) and Chris(singer) again albiet briefly. I didn't acctually expect to being a tight security arena show but my friend helped out and hooked us up. Nicole of course had to get pissed at me...the evening wouldn't have been complete if she hadn't. I am not sure why she got so pissed entirely but I am thinking she blamed me for not getting us backstage(I was able to arrange meeting them the first time we saw them in Tucson, but this time I had all the pull of a limp noodle), but there was absolutely nothing I could have done. For Christ sakes she got a fucking hug from Walter and met Chris again(she got no hug as he is sick...maybe that is why she was pissed at me, evidently I was supposed to put him in an arm bar until did)so I don't know what the fuck her problem was...She wouldn't have even been at the show if I hadn't bought her ticket for her for her birthday and further if I hadn't helped my friend come down who knows the band she wouldn't have gotten to meet them for the second time, so what else was I supposed to do? Oh well, beyond her being bitchy it was a great show. I really love both bands and I am just really feeling good about last night.
I got together with a couple of people on the list which was pretty cool, it is good to see my friends from there every once in a while. This internet thing is so cool. I never would have ever met any of these people had it not been for the net. Oh well, anyway my next concert is this thursday, SugarRay. I am very stoked about this show as well especially since it is free and on the last day of finals. It will be an awesome way to blow off steam.
Speaking of blowing off steam, band practice should happen on friday which will rock...I haven't gotten to sing any of my stuff in forever. We have to work on our SW cover first though and I hope it will leave time for us to do some of our own stuff. This will be the first practice in a few months so I am pretty excited. And that, friends, what is up.
