A day out to Trigend

I got up an hour earlier than normal at 6am to pick out my femme clothes and to put on my makeup. I settled on a floral cardigan over a beige top with my brown knee length pleated skirt. As I knew I would be doing some walking, I decided to have on my low heeled shoes with white stockings and suspender belt. I managed to get all my makeup on within 45 mins with some time to spare for breakfast.

As I had to drop my wife off at work, we started out early at 7.30am towards the city. She was a bit worried that I would be accompanying her in girl mode in the car, but I assured her that nobody would notice. After dropping her off at work, my first stop on the way home was my local drycleaners. I was a bit anxious initially and being my first stop, I could not help but think about just going home and staying put. I parked my car outside the shop, and after a quick check of my makeup, I picked up my drycleaning from the rear of the car and headed into the store. The proprietor whom I recognised obviously did not catch on initially. He promptly asked how I was, and I replied as femininely as I could. He did not seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. After counting up the pieces to dry clean, he handed me my collection receipt and wished me a good day.

As I headed towards Forest Hill Chase shopping centre, I was somewhat dumbfounded as I did not seem to get any reaction from the drycleaners. I had to collect a parcel from the post office which is located at the shopping center. I noticed that I was getting a few looks from guys walking about in the shopping center, but was glad that I was not being stared at. While waiting in the queue in the post office, I realised that that guys tend to look more at girls than girls do. When it was my turn at the counter, I handed the postal clerk my collection slip and blurted out, "I'd like to collect my parcel, please". I expected the lady to give me a funny look, as although I might pass in public (as so many of you have told me), I knew that my voice would always let me down. She just went into the store room, and came out handing me the parcel. I half expected her to ask me for some form of identification, but she did not even bother. Frankly, I was so elated and I spent the next hour walking around the shopping centre, visiting clothes stores and had a hot chocolate and a slice of cake at the food court.

My final stop was Trigend in Malvern. I had not previously been there before, but had spoken to Bruce on the phone if and when he would have his store open. I managed to find a car spot close to the store and eventually made my way across Glenferrie Road, in the light rain. It was very windy, and as I was crossing the street, at one point I thought I would lose either my wig or my skirt or both. Everything went flying, including my umbrella. I though I was about to fly off like Mary Poppins. I must have been a real sight, in the middle of Glenferrie Road, in the traffic jam. Anyway, I made a final dash across the road and made it into the store.

Bruce, the proprietor was very nice, he offered me a hot drink, and a seat to help me regain my composure. I was shown his range of shoes, which I must admit are much more exotic and fashionable than the ones you'd find at Wittner or your usual shoe stores. His range on shoes included Italian made ones had very ornate design and cut. He has a good selection of high heeled shoes and after five ball type ones as well. Honestly, I wished I had more money, so that I cud buy more shoes. Most of his shoes have been heavily discounted and to make it even better, he had a further 20% discount on all discounted stock. I was rapt, and I settled on a pair of Jane Debster 3" heeled black shoes and another duotone beige and white design. Both looked superb and only costs $105. I kid you not, I cannot find shoes like these elsewhere, as I like shoes with thin and long heels. Bruce mentioned that he would only be open until the end of September, and after that, he would only have an Internet presence, i.e www.trigend.com.au for us girls to order stuff. He said that he would prefer to have a store as it better serve the new cd coming out and providing a personal service to help with not just shoes but also lingerie, makeup, dressing and deportment. I headed home, after wishing him the best and promised that I would tell as many girls as I cud about his sales. I got home and rested until 3pm where I started to get ready again for the Chameleon Society meeting in the evening. But then that's another story....

One thing I noticed when I got home, was how tired I felt when I finally did catch my breath. I must have been very anxious and nervous all day about being 'out' in public. When I finally had lunch and sat down for a cuppa, contemplating the morning's events, I felt extremely elated, and very fulfilled. I cannot fully describe the experience, but just to say that I'm looking forward to my next day off.

Note: Trigend has since shut its premises to the general public. However, Bruce is still serving us through his web site http://www.trigend.com.au
