London is a very special place. If you have
ever been here, you know what I mean. If you
haven't, put it high on your list. It costs a
little more than Destin, but you do get what you
pay for.
What's the best thing about London? Hard to
say. Books have been written about the city, the
sites, the castles, the theaters, etc. so I can
not hope to add to it here. I will say one of my
favorite things is standing in some 300 year old
pub and having the bartender pump a unique,
locally brewed beer out of the cellar into a pint
glass. You won't find one finer anywhere, I
promise.
The new site
Hope you enjoy the new website. Since it is
new, it's not completely finished. I'll be
updating it at least weekly -- although there
won't be any new photos until I get back for
Christmas. So keep coming back... and send me
some jokes to post.

Parliament
Building - Dawn
I took this picture around 6:00 a.m. one
Saturday morning in September. It turned out to
be a moment I'll always remember.
I was in a hurry to catch the shot before the
sun became too bright and ruined the mood. The
Underground stop is right next to the Parliament
building, so I had to run across the Westminster
Bridge and down this walkway along the Thames. As
I was running down the walkway, Big Ben started
sounding 6:00 a.m. Booonnnng, Booonnnng,
Booonnnng. It was magical to see, and hear, this
dawn moment.

London Snow
Apparently snow is very rare in London -- a
true surprise for Americans raised on visions of
Dickens' Christmas Carol. Well, this morning it
was snowing here -- the first time in a couple
years. It does put one in the holiday spirit.
