E2 and other's con't...

Margaret Pavey-Velten.  She and I used to pass notes to each other in Bahasa if we were bored.  I once asked her if I could switch my mind off, and she told me "No way!  I have to sit through the valuation, so you'll have to sit through my section.  In any case, I need another lawyer to help me deal with you know who..."  And so the late nights as both of us reviewed our report, and wondered why we were doing it:  no partnership prospects, no bonuses.  But did we enjoy it?  I think we did.

Carmel Whelton.  Ex-Canadian diplomat.  Told me that Malaysia diplomats "kick-ass!"  She went from not knowing Commercial Law to being proficient in it in the course of on holiday.  I mean, who brings along Roy Goode's Commercial Law as holiday reading?

Not the most flattering shot of James.  But here anyway.  Like Rachel, an Australian.  And together with Rachel, represent the most friendly of Aussies that I have met.  We have been trying to keep in touch... I wonder if we will succeed...

And of course, apart from all these people pictured here, there are those who helped make it a fun place to work.  There were so many, like Mercy, George, like Adam and Ali and Molly (who has the ability to make most men stop mid-sentence... she's on the first picture of this series...)
