This page is here to give information on Tesla Coils and there design.
This info is NOT intended for stupid people that might hurt themselves
or others. Before building a Tesla Coil you should go to the library & learn the
basics about electricity & the dangers of High Voltage first. I'm in the process
of putting as much as I can on my page, but there's a lot of stuff that you could
learn faster just by experimenting.
A Tesla Coil is a resonant air core transformer. It is essentially a pulse
driven oscillator driving a resonant output circuit. In this manner a Tesla
Coil is very much like a radio transmitter. About the only thing that a Tesla
Coil can be used for is making really cool visual effects. The over all
design of a Tesla Coil is not really that hard. Information is listed all over the
Internet to help you design a Tesla Coil.
