"The Wedding Singer" is a fun romantic comedy set in 1985. Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) is an amazing wedding singer until his fiance, Linda, deserts him at the alter. After that he wants all newlyweds to be miserable by destroying their weddings. But when he meets the sweet waitress, Julia (Drew Barrymore), who asks him to help her plan her own wedding, he finds himself falling for her. Julia in turn falls herself falling for Robbie, who is a much better choice than her own fiance, Glen, who drinks and cheats. The ending is a happy fairy tale one, in which Robbie wins Julia over completely after singing a composition of his own, "I Want to Grow Old With You".
