MILLENIUM BUGS?

It seems that I'm constantly hearing about computer programs which are full of "bugs," so named because that's what many software engineers look like. And, the worst bug was supposed to be the Y2K, which, if left unadressed, could have resulted in the following calamities:

Bill Clinton might have been constitutionally eligible to run for a third term...or a fourth...

AMC might have brought back the Gremlin.

Airlines might have accidentally installed seats large enough for people to sit in.

Due to a crash in their phones' voice mail systems, you could have called a bank and wound up talking to a person instead of a recording.

As the ball dropped on New Year's Eve in Times Square in New York, it might have gotten stuck, meaning Dick Clark would have been on television forever...er...

Kenneth Starr might have lost all of his data and have had to start his investigation over from scratch.

Your VCR might have stopped blinking MIDNIGHT MIDNIGHT MIDNIGHT and started blinking NOON NOON NOON.

Tony Orlando might have decided the time was right for a comeback.

If you are one of those people who have trouble adjusting to Daylight Savings Time, imagine the headaches you'd have had to endure when we started the 1900's all over again!

Aren't we lucky it was all just a big nothing! Imagine!!!
