FIELD OPERATIONS TECH II, SWITCH & NETWORK, At McLeod USA Boise Idaho


Upgraded Central office software from 5ESS (14) to 5ESS (15) in September 2001.
Perform Testing of STS-1’s, VT-1’s, various data circuits. Utilizing the MCC for testing and repair and the RCV Terminal for programming of translations.
Perform Hardware and software Maintenance on Lucent 5ESS Switch.
Performed testing, and routine maintenance of various Central Office equipment to include, Lucent Mercury Echo Cancellation Unit, TELLABS Titan 5500/532, Lucent 5ESS Switch, Siemens Switch, Glenayre VMS., Lucent Anymedia, Cerent 454 equipment, various power conversion & rectifier systems, Back up Batteries, Back up Generator, and many other on sight devices and equipment.
Manufactured jumpers for installation of digital circuits.
Monitored the Lucent 5ESS, and Siemens switch, for alarms repaired any alarms
whenever they appeared.
Performed Weekly Back ups of 5ESS SM, AM, TOP, and the ASM.
Performed daily back ups of AMA data on the Siemens Switch.
