| Sadie | Socks | ||
| I adopted Sadie from the SPCA in the summer of 2001, she was eight months old when she was brought to the shelter, she was found wandering the streets of Raleigh. Sadie was very thin and had very little hair, but a well-balanced diet soon took care of that. I am forever grateful to Sadie as it is because of her that I became so involved with Teamworks and dog training. Sadie has taught me so much as she has had some behavior issues due to her poor socialization as a puppy. Sadie and I became involved in Musical Freestyle about 2 years ago as I felt this sport would suit Sadie as she would not have to compete around other dogs (her dislike of other dogs has been one of her behavior issues). Freestyle has enabled her to show her "love of fun" personality. Sadie loves agility, and we have just started Tracking classes but she seems more interested in tracking the deer poop than the actual track, so we will have to see how it goes. | Socks was born at the SPCA shelter on August 17th, 2002, I took her Mom and puppies home to foster them until the pups were old enough to be spayed and neutered and could be adopted. Of course I had to keep one of them and Socks was the perfect choice, she is so easy going and loves to be around her family. Socks love to work for food and although she is not very fast, she puts her heart and soul into agility. Again, our love is Freestyle, but we have just started Tracking classes which she is showing a natural talent for. | ||
