In this lesson you will learn the use of adjectival phrases.

| El lápiz de madera |
The adjectival phrase is a short
sentence that uses a preposition to
relate a noun
with
another noun to modify their meaning.
These short sentences have a similar role to the adjective.
Read the sentences below.
La familia de mi amiga es numerosa. |

La despedida de mis sobrinos fue al aire libre. |
|
Los amigos de mi hermano son muy simpáticos. |
Los hermanos están en el patio de su casa. |
El barrio de mi abuelita está lejos de la ciudad. |
Adjetive phrases do not only modify the nouns but also can add useful meaning.

Email to your e-pal At the end of the Lab session write an e-mail to your e-pal in Chile. Use the adjetival phrase and tell them about the Latino American Community in Australia. Keep this e-mail in your Cyber Spanish folder, because at the end of the term you together with your class partner will present a summary of the information collected from your e-mails.
