Did You Know?
In their only race against eachother, Konstantinos Kederis defeated
Maurice Greene in the 200 metres. Kederis, then an unknown, defeated
Greene in the heats of the 1999 World Championships, winning in 20.68 with
Greene third in 20.76. Greene, after winning the 100 earlier in the
week, most likely just wanted to get through the first round, which he
did as the top three in each heat qualified and he went on to win the World
title in 19.90. Kederis pulled out of the championship in the second
round where he was scheduled to face Greene again.
