Okay, I know you guys have been wanting some BIOs so here they are:
Brolly:
Brolly, he was born on the saiya-jin homeworld with Goku. Their cribs were placed next to each other. While Brolly was born with a power level of 10,000 and Goku had a meager power level of 2. When they were babies Goku managed to make Brolly sad and cry with Goku's persistent whining that wouldn't stop. This is what drove Brolly's anger towards Goku, Goten, any other dbz warrior and his love of being evil. Please stop reading here if you do not want to further spoil the storyline/endings of movies 8,10, and 11. While Brolly was a baby, King Vegeta learned of this child of Paragus that was born with amazing power for a child. King Vegeta had both Paragus and Brolly "thrown away" like trash. When Freiza destroyed the planet, Brolly used his amazing power to protect both himself and Paragus from the destruction. During Brolly's childhood Brolly became increasingly difficult to control, Brolly's power was greater than ever imagined. Paragus had a scientist from a world he conquered create a devise to control Brolly, similar to a remote control of sorts. When Paragus essentially had this great power at his control, he created a "New Planet Vegeta" in an attempt to draw the Saiyan Prince(Vegeta) to the new world where Paragus would have his revenge on King Vegeta by killing his son Vegeta by either the comet that was heading towards the new planet or by Brolly himself. The plan did not work completely as planned and Paragus told Vegeta of the Legendary Super Saiya-jin who was near the new world that was destroying entire galaxies. This is what made Vegeta go to the new world. The rest of Paragus's plan seemed to be working accordingly, but the arrival of Goku at the new world shortly after Vegeta caused problems. Seeing Goku, drove Brolly's anger and eventually Brolly could not be controlled by Paragus 's device and his plan was revealed to the saiya-jins. Paragus tried to escape from the planet before it's eminent destruction but Brolly destroyed his space pod, with Paragus in it, killing him. Through a very long and rigorous fight, Goku did finally defeat Brolly in movie 8 with the help of the others (Piccolo, Gohan, Trunks, and Vegeta). Brolly returns in Movie 10, somehow he survived Goku's deathblow and managed to get to another space pod, this space pod lands on earth. There is another battle, Goten and Gohan use a large Kame-hame-ha to defeat Brolly. At first there is no effect but Goku's spirit falls from the clouds and gives them emotional support as well as joining in on the Kame-hame-ha which does destroy Brolly. Finally he returns one last time in movie 11, he is cloned and is once again destroyed by Chibi (young non-future) Trunks and Goten.
Bulma:
Bulma is the daughter of Dr. Briefs, and her mother only known as Mama. Her father is the founder of the Capsule Corporation, and the inventor of the Capsule. She was 16 when the series started and ROUGHLY 61 when Z ends. She is a scientific genius, and she's got good looks to go along with them. Some of her achievements are; building the Dragon Radar, inventing a shrinking ray mounted in a watch, rebuilding an alien scouter, learning how to use an alien ship, and repairing an artificial human with her dad, just to name a few things. In the beginning of Dragon Ball she is very important as a character, but she becomes less of a focus as the series progresses. Her husband is Vegeta, and she has two children. Trunks is their son, and Bra is their daughter. Bulma was the second character to appear in Dragon Ball after Goku. When the series started out she was a young girl, 16 years of age, who was out on her own spending her summer break from school searching for magical spheres called the Dragon Balls. Her wish was originally to have all the strawberries she could eat, but she later changed her mind and wanted a perfect boyfriend. When she first met Goku, she wasn't very nice. She wanted to take his Dragon Ball from him, but he refused because he believed his grandfather's soul was in it. She then tried to bribe him by letting him touch her panties, but Goku had no desire to touch her "dirty butt.". Finally she asked if he could come with her and bring along his Dragon Ball. He liked the idea, but Bulma was going to use his Dragon Ball when she got all of them, and use him as a bodyguard. She was pretty sly for a kid her age. Later on, Bulma met Yamcha. The two became girlfriend and boyfriend, and Yamcha lived with her at her parent's house, the Capsule Corporation. As time went by, Bulma grew up, and became very, uh, touchy. Much more so than when she was a kid. She breaks up with Yamcha because he fools around with other women, but when he's killed by the Saibaman, she realized she truly loved him. She tagged along with the guys on Nameck because she suffers from a great deal of self pride, and didn't think anyone else could use the Nameckian ship, and partly because she wanted to help get Yamcha back. After the Nameck ordeal, Bulma and Yamcha got back together, and seemed happy, (with an occasional slip-up on Yamcha's part). However, when Vegeta trains at the Capsule Corp. in her father's gravity room, she seems to gain some affection for him. After the three years pass when everyone was training for their confrontation with the Artificial Humans, Bulma shows up with a kid in her arms. His name is Trunks, and he's Vegeta and Bulma's son. Sometime later, after the death of Cell, Bulma and Vegeta get hitched, and Vegeta learns to actually care for his family, although he doesn't let his emotions truly show until a while later. But Bulma really loves him, and shows it as well. During the Buu saga, Bulma is pretty much a useless character. She doesn't invent anything, or assist in a fight; she's just there as drama. She dearly loves her son Trunks, but she's pretty stern with him sometimes, a la Chi Chi. At the very end of Z after the death of Buu, she's twice as "touchy" as before, and she really looks as if she's aged. Once again, she's not important at the end, but just a nice face to see at the end of the series. However, GT pulls a 180 degree turn, and she becomes fairly important again. First she helps to get Goku a ship to fly around the universe in, and later in the series, she becomes VERY important when Bebi takes over her body. He makes her his assistant, and she figures out how to turn Bebi into a Golden Ozaru. During the Evil Shenlon saga she's not important, and hardly seen until the end, where Goku and Vegeta face off against Ii Shenlon. She invents the Brute Ray, a special tank that shoots off high amounts of Brute Waves, causing Vegeta to turn Super Saiyan 4. She and Vegeta disappear at the end, and lose contact with the Sons, but in the last episode, you can tell Bulma's grand daughter, and Vegeta's great grandson. And that's about it for Bulma.
Cell:
Cell, one of Dr. Gero's greatest creations. He is a creature who was formed from the genetic material of the most powerful warriors known at the time of his creation. Such warriors are Goku, Vegeta, Freeza, King Kold, Piccolo, and many more. Because of the fact he was formed from these fighters he is also able to do their moves such as; Goku's Kame-hame-ha, Piccolo's regeneration ability and his Makkankosappo (special beam cannon), Tienshinhan's Taioken (solar flare), etc. Making him the ultimate fighting machine. Please stop reading here if you do not want to spoil the episodes for yourself. Cell actually didn't come from the DBZ timeline that is shown because the lab the un-developed cell was in became destroyed, he didnt even come from Future Trunks timeline (the Future Trunks that we know of), he came from a completely different timeline where Trunks beat the androids. In this timeline this was a big problem for Cell because he needed to absorb Android #17 and #18 in order to become "Perfect" and be the ultimate fighting machine. He killed Trunks and took the time machine that Trunks used in his time line (it's honestly too difficult to explain). Turning himself back to a previous state in his development (an egg like form) so he could fit in the machine, he traveled back in time to the timeline that we know of to a few years before Trunks arrival. Cell gave re-birth to himself over time and hatched. He quickly brought himself to the form he was at before the time travel. The Z Warriors discovered the remnant shell(s) and were very confused. Cell began going to various places around the country/world causing panic by taking finding people and by using his tail he absorbs their life energy to become stronger. Piccolo after merging with Kami found Cell by accident from sensing Goku's ki (ki means energy) and many other Z Warriors ki all in the same spot. After fighting a little while with Piccolo, Cell learned how much stronger Piccolo was than himself. He knew winning was impossible and used a Taioken (solar flare) to escape. Now for any other enemy in DBZ before this point it wouldn't of worked but Cell could lower his ki just like any other DBZ character making him difficult to find and catch. So Cell continued on his path of destruction and whent to more cities gathering extra energy. When Cell learned (sensed) Piccolo's fight with Android #17 he quickly whent to the battle where he easily beat both Piccolo and #17 (he was much stronger now because of all the people he absorbed). Cell absorbed Android #17 and transformed to a new level of power and physical appearance (his second stage). Tienshinhan happened to be there and used a force blow attack (the name eludes me so if someone out there reading this remembers the name of the attack please contact me). The attack essentially detains Cell for Android #16 and #18 to escape from Cell so #18 wont be absorbed. Goku recently recovered knows he can't fight Cell but he can't wait for Trunks and Vegeta to leave the room of spirit and time, Goku teleports himself there and gets Tien and Piccolo out and back to Kami's tower. Cell continued to search for #18 but after Vegeta and Trunks got out of the room of spirit and time he stopped to fight Vegeta. Vegeta easily beat him down but Cell convinced Vegeta to let him absorb #18. Cell whent into his "Perfect Form" and became extremely poweful. He fought Vegeta again and knocked him out. Trunks too tried to fight Cell but was unsuccessful. Since Cell was now in his Perfect Form it was all just a game to him....Litterally and set up the Cell games. He gave all the warriors time to train while he waited. Goku tried very hard to defeat Cell at the games and even though with all his training Goku was unable to win. Goku transfered the fight over to his son, Gohan. Gohan tried hard to fight but was on un-equal ground with Cell. When Cell learned of Gohan's possible hidden power through anger he wanted to trigger it so he released the "Cell Jr's" from his body and had them attack the Z Warriors and told them to kill them if they wanted. When #16's android's head was thrown over to where Gohan was by Mr. Satan, #16 asked Gohan to protect the animals etc. that he loved so much. Cell walked over and crushed the head of #16. Pushing Gohan two steps over the edge. Gohan whent Super Saiya-jin level two and destroyed the Cell Jr.'s. Gohan fought Cell and when he learned he couldnt defeat Gohan so he decided to self destruct. When all looked hopeless Goku remembered his teleportation ability and transported Cell away from the earth and Goku was killed and it appeared as though it killed Cell also. But one of Cell's cell's(sounds wierd but it's true) survived and Cell returned to earth even stronger than he was before. Nevertheless, Cell was defeated by Gohan in a large Kame-hame-ha battle. Concluding the Cell Saga which is considered to be one of the best if not THE best saga in DBZ with it's constant twists of the plot line, keeping the viewers interested.
Frieza:
He is one of the major villains who appears after the epic battle between Son Goku and Vegeta. The battle against Freeza was the longest segment of the entire series. He was the villain who destroyed Goku’s home planet. Even though Freeza would not openly admit, his greatest nightmare is the Saiyajin, that is why their home planet must be destroyed. Shortly after Vegeta finished his battle with Goku, we encounter Freeza in the planet of the Namek. Both the Dragon Ball Warriors and Freeza and his minions arrived at the planet to acquire the more powerful Dragon Balls. Although both arrived with the same purpose, their motives were quite different. The Dragon Ball Warriors wanted to revive Piccolo and his other half, Tenshin, while Freeza, with his insatiable appetite for power, wanted eternal life. He did not begin to demonstrate his capabilities until he started the battle against Vegeta when he took his first transformation. Freeza is capable of three transformations, becoming more powerful each time, during which, Vegeta was killed and Piccolo met nearly the same fate. Then, Son Goku joined the battle. This is the battle where first saw the Super Saiyajin. Freeza served as the catalyst for that when he killed Kuririn out of his frustration. The angry Son Goku became Super Saiyajin and eventually overcame Freeza. Goku, being a good sportsman like always spares Freeza's life so he could challege Freeza again. But Freeza's uncontainable pride and unwillingless to accept defeat sealed his fate. Miracalously, he still managed to survive until recued by his father After being rescued by his Father, Freeza decided to go to earth for his revenge, but only to seal his fate by the arrival of Future Trunks.
Gohan:
As Piccolo said, he was too pampered by his parents in the early ages to even realize his talent. Piccolo decided to start training him by leaving him in an island for six months to learn independence before teaching him anything at all. After one year of training, Gohan became a much more independent and strong in character. Even though Gohan became more independent, he still lacked the kind of confidence that his father had, which was evident when he fled from where he was supposed to attack Nappa in his first battle against the Saiya-jins. His lack of confidence persisted even after he became the most powerful warrior (Super Gohan) in the epic battle against Cell. During the KameHameHa final confrontation between the two of them, Gohan was about to give up the battle. During that time, his father had more confidence in him then he did himself as Goku motivated Gohan to unleash his full potential to completely destroy Cell. Because his mother had always wanted him to be a scholar, Gohan has a dilemma between fighting and studying, even though he is equally assiduous in both. Because of the constant invasion of "evil," Gohan focused on fighting. However, he finally got the opportunity to become a scholar after Buu was defeated and realized his mother's wishes.
Goku:
His real name is Kakarot. He discovered that from his brother Raditz which is also the first time he learned that he is a Saiya-jin. Not only is he a great warrior, but also a spectacular leader. Throughout the entire series, he had inspired many, including both of his sons, Gohan and Goten and especially Vegeta. He is a diligent and hardworking person who would never fail to take on new challenges. Even though he had became the most powerful warrior in the universe by defeating Freiza, he still strive to become better. After Future Trunks had foretold the arrival of the cyborgs and Dr. Gero. He could have opted for the easy path by getting to Dr. Gero before the cyborgs were created, but he chose to challenge himself instead by preparing for their arrival. Goku’s unfaltering spirit and confidence is remarkable. After he forfeited the battle against Cell, no one, not even Gohan himself had the confidence to defeat Cell. Goku was the only one who had confidence in Gohan and followed through all the way to the end, even after Gohan was seriously injured and lost the will to fight. He never quits under any circumstance. Even after everyone gave up, his mind never stopped looking for solutions. Seconds before Cell was about to explode and destroy Earth, Goku realized he could teleport Cell to another location. His leadership and inspiration was proved pivotal as Future Trunks unveiled the grim story of his time where Goku died of a rare heart disease and everyone except for Trunks were killed. The most tragic of all was that Gohan’s tremendous talent was never realized as he died under the hands of #17. After the Dragon Ball Warriors initial encounter with #17 and #18 and subsequently Cell, Goku realized that he must transcend the Super Saiyajin to stand a chance against the cyborgs. Under his guidance, an intensive training program in the "Time Room" was launched. During that time, he trained Gohan for the first time and fully unleashed Gohan's potential. The one person he had inspired most throughout the series was Vegeta. Vegeta entered the story as as an evil individual who would find any means necessary to satisfy his hunger for power who was also too proud to accept defeat. Through Goku’s inspiration, Vegeta slowly transformed into a good hearted person who accepted himself. During Goku’s final battle with Majin Buu, he openly accepted that he was no match for neither Buu nor Goku and willing to participate in the sidelines (by gathering energy for Goku’s final strike) rather than the actual fight.
Goten:
Goten, born shortly after the Cell Saga. He is Goku's second son and was conceived shortly before Goku's death in the Cell Saga. Goten plays a big part in the series after he goes super saiya-jin at the age of 5. During his childhood he becomes great friends with Chibi (baby/non-future) Trunks. They help each other alot during their battles and eventually they learn the fusion technique(with the help of Piccolo and Goku) where Goten and Trunks become Gotenks. However while Goten always had much potential, he never fully lived up to it because of his funloving nature and his lack of real discipline. Nevertheless he is a very important figure near the end of DBZ but by DBGT his role as a main character faded.
Piccolo:
He is one of the characters who was originally "evil", but through series of unexpected events, the "evil" in him was slowly washed away as Piccolo took different forms. Piccolo is the offspring of Daimon, who was the pure "evil" which separated from Kami-sama as another body. Piccolo and Kami-sama is one person in two bodies. If one of them die, both will die. When Daimon was killed by Son Goku, he vowed that his offspring Piccolo will avenge him. Thus, Piccolo's character is not just pure "evil" the way Daimon is. He is simply focused on destroying Son Goku. The two of them first met in the Budokai. With the arrival of Raditz, Piccolo found himself an unwilling partner of Son Goku and together defeated Raditz. When he learned that two more poweful Saiya-jin will avenge Raditz, Piccolo only found himself even more unwillingly on Goku's side by volunteering to train his Son, Gohan to become a warrior to fight against the Saiya-jin. Piccolo's militant training style made Gohan a stronger person, gradually unleashing Gohan's tremendous talent. During the time he spent with Gohan, Piccolo began to develop love and care for Gohan, which was fully realized when he sacrificed his life for Gohan in the battle against Nappa. His love and care for Gohan is readily apparent throughout the Freiza and Cell series.
Vegeta:
Even though he is evil at heart, Vegeta is perhaps one of the most strong-willed characters in the series. Like Son Goku, he is extremely industrious, constantly striving to be better, but different purposes drove Vegeta's spirit. Goku fought to defend the lives and others and to challenge his limitations while Vegeta fought to satisfy his bloodthirsty appetite and die hard pride, which is unwilling to accept defeat. This gradually changes throughout the series. The primary driver of his will is Goku. Vegeta's defeat in his first encounter with Goku and his unwillingness to accept Goku being more powerful had constantly fuelled his strong will to continue to train himself. After seeing Goku turn into Super Saiya-jin and defeating Freeza, he grew even more jealous of Goku’s achievements and immersed himself in intensive training. After much sweat and frustration, he finally became Super Saiya-jin. He only enjoyed a fleeting moment of pride in destroying #20, before being defeated by #18. Vegeta’s first catharsis occurred during Gohan’s battle with Cell. Because of his rash decision to attack Cell when he did not have the power to, had caused Gohan’s arm to be seriously injured when Gohan saved his life. Not only was he not even close to Cell’s ability, but also served as a hindrance to Gohan. That was the first time Vegeta accepted his incapabilities by making an apology to Gohan. By the time Majin Buu appeared, what used to be a cold-hearted Vegeta changed. Right before he proceeded to sacrifice his life in an attempt to destroy Buu, he told Trunks that he cared about him and how he felt bad about giving Trunks much less attention then Trunks deserved. During Goku's final battle with Majin Buu, Vegeta goes through a complete catharsis. He realized that Goku's pure and kind heart gave Goku the power that Vegeta never had. He finally realizes that the good ultimately prevails.
