A Woman by my Side

I have been married for almost 20 years, believe it or not, I am looking forward to the next 20.
Some of my most treasured works were inspired by my wife. It was hard to write through my tears at times but I believe that all things happen for the greater good. The good and the bad things that have happened in our marriage have all contributed to our mutual understanding and the respect we have for each other.

I had tears in my eyes when I had originally wrote each of the poems on this page:
Tears of joy.

To my Love Eternal

Forever and ever Amen.
That's how this will end.
Far away, not knowing when.
Here to stay, anew day again.
My love for you doesn't just grow within.
I have no limits, no boundries, no will to say when.

I've captured you, you've captured me.
I cherish you, you cherish me.
No dead undone or spell unbroken.
Can hurt that which we have, or that we have not spoken.
I do remember a time way back when,
I knew our love was going to be
Forever and ever, Amen.

(Yep, it still brings tears to my eyes after all these years)

The head of a pen

Can our love begin form the head of a pen.
A world of knowlege is held there within.
If you believe in life without sin.
Why can't you believe upon the head of a pin.

Life cannot be if you won't let me in.
Our love won't stay contained upon the head of a pin.
Please if you dare, look from within.
Love can be shared upon the head of a pin.
Just as feelings are be shared by paper and pen.
Our love can be shared with the power of my pen.
Please believe that our love can again begin.
Between you and me, with the works of my Pen.

I wrote this next one and video taped it for our anniversary in 1998.

Turning to you
(this one made her cry)

I may not always express how I feel
But my feelings for you sure are real

I may not always do the right thing
But one thought of you and I remember my ring.

I may not always like the way some things turn out.
But my love for you is true, without a doubt

I may not always accept my fate
But what could go wrong with you as my mate

I may not always look for guidence above
Yes, at times I will turn to you, My Love

You can go back and start over if you would like. Or you can leap
to one of the previous pages.
Try flying the top of the page without falling.
There is the possibility that an angle might catch you and guide you where all is good. If it is within my power to do, we always have the opportunity to do it all again.
