The human potential in Industry is incredible if the resources are harnessed in a harmonious way. In an organization where limited responsibility and limited power prevails; there is no harmony or coordination. A Marketing Manager operates with limited responsibility and so does a Finance Manager.  A Production Manager puts pressure on his/her group to perform, using the carrot and stick technique.

In the name of management, what we do is manipulate the worker.  What is management?  Management is not manipulation.  Management is not management of people.  Management is not management of production. Management is about managing oneself to be in total freedom.  It comes from within and for no outside reason or condition.  Once you are in freedom and in a state of equilibrium, harmony is a natural outcome.  A manager is one who being an enlightened person is able to inspire the people around to do of their own accord what is required to be done.  Examine yourself, do you wish to be a manipulator or a manager.

Most of us are caught up in a state of not OK ness. Most of the time we think things are not OK and we go about fixing things that we perceive to be not OK. In an industry we have supervisors to oversee employees because we want to fix what is not OK.  We spend a major part of our energy thinking about not OK ness. Now, would you like to experience things that are not OK or things that are OK? The shift from not OK ness to OK ness is called meditation. It is a state of equilibrium and balance.

There are two kinds of management. One is called an organization and the other is called organism. The difference between organization and organism is that an organization is based on a super-imposed hierarchical power structure. There is limited responsibility and there is no harmony or coordination.

Whereas, in organism each cell is responsible for the whole, and has all the basic information about all other elements. Each person functions with pride as if it is his/her own factory and takes ownership of the tasks that need to done.  When people work willingly, production and quality is assured.
