The steps of my life began to broaden as I entered Jr. High School.
Jr. High was definately a large step from elementary and certainly a very exciting step!

In 7th grade I was a Jr. High Cheerleader and a member of the Jr. National Honor Society. I maintained a 3.75 gpa. Our Jr. High Football Team won the County Champs title, and during the homecoming game I was crowned Miss 7th Grade! My escort was Jonathan Tackett.

In 8th grade I began playing Jr. High Basketball, I was the only 8th grade starter of the season. We didn't have a very successful season, but we still had a lot of fun! I remained in the Jr. National Honor Society and still maintained a 3.75 gpa. I was chosen by school officials to participate in a Talent Search program, sponsored by West Virginia State College. During the homecoming football game against GV (that we won!!!) I was crowned Miss Jr. High! My escort was Drew Keaton!

During my freshmen year at Hamlin Jr. High School I was a member of the Jr. High Basketball Team for the second year, I was honored with the captain position of the team along with my two friends, LeAnn Bragg and Tonya McGrady. We had a pretty good season and we continued to have lots of fun! I was also was a Jr. High Football Manager. Academic wise, I was the President of the Jr. National Honor Society, we conducted a lot of food drives and penny drives for those in need! I participated in the Talent Search program again and also the TATU (Teens Against Tobacco Use) program, and also maintained a 3.75 gpa. I also was crowned Miss Sweetheart at the Valentine Dance along with Walt McGrady as Mr. Sweetheart!

Now it's time to take even larger steps as I enter
