The '99-00 Season

The Final Chapter
This is it. My last entry in the marching band section of this web page. Aren't you sad??? I sure am. Anyways, we had the most successful season in years!!! Even more than freshman year (if you can believe that). We had 48 people in this year's band, returning us to 1 Open after a year hiatus (2A, ha, what a joke). Again, Rusty and I were drum majors and the color guard captains were Amy Crouthamel and Fiona Cousland. Scorewise, the band placed 1st at the Hasbrock Heights competition, 1st at Mount Olive (and we got Best Percussion, Best Guard, Best Overall, and Best Drum Majors!!! Hells yeah!), 2nd at Verona (because we had a stupid judge. Oh well. We still got best music), and 4th overall at Giants Stadium (placing 3rd in music). What was awesome about championships, however, was that we got a 91.3! Our highest score in what probably is ever! I couldn't have asked for a better way to end our competitive season!
