Nearly a year had passed since I completed what I still regard as the best piece of writing I’ve ever done and then this occurred…

July 2002

It’s been one of those rare but oh so precious weeks for me where I have lived a story and been able to write a new part straight off, no editing, no block, each night. I cherish those moments and even though I never planned to write a sequel – let alone four! – to ‘Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood…’ it is also perhaps fitting that I have felt inspired to do it in this way as this was the way in which the original was written.

With the completion of this story the tale has come full circle and I for one am very pleased with the way everything has written itself, and it has, I am merely the instrument through which the inspiration has flowed, this story is all its own work. There is a sense of peace about this final instalment which I hope you share. Not that the original was ever incomplete but something somewhere obviously felt that these follow-up pieces would bring everything to beautiful conclusion and in my mind it has. *s*
