IT'S FAIR TIME AGAIN!!!!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of 4-H!! Fair time can prove to bring out the best & worst of us all! We know that there is a lot of expectation, responsibilities, joy, & disappointment involved. The one thing that I've learned after doing fairs for 8 years is to always temper your expectations with reality checks & remain organized. Fair time is the real test of a 4-H club's efficiency; project meetings definitely have proven to me that children walk into their fair experience with a lot more self-confidence & knowledge. Here is a breif summary of fair activities that are relavent to our clubs showing scheduale. It is not complete because it contains only the areas that Stepping Stones members will be showing in. MONRE COUNTY FAIR (Tomah) WEDNESDAY, July 18 3-9pm- Enter Exhibits 3pm- Face-to-face judging(Early Age catagories)(Yellow Building) 5:30-Dog Show (Green Building) THURSDAY, July 19 8-11:30- Enter Exhibits 10am- Beef Judging Exhibits judged 12pm- Kids Crowing Contest (Poultry Barn) 12:45pm-Face-to-face judging (Carrots-Plants & Soils) 1pm- Face-to-face judging (Muffins-3rd-5th Foods) 1:30 (approx.) Rabbit judging (following poultry show) 2pm- Face-to-face judging (Coffee cake-6th-8th Foods) 2pm-Face-to-face judging (Pansies-Flower catagory) 3pm-Face-to face judging (Baking Powder bis.-9th+ Foods) 7pm-Close-SteppingStones works food stand (Cheryl's group) FRIDAY, July 20 9am- Dairy Show Exhibits & Booths judged SATURDAY, July 21 9-2pm- Shooting sports competition (under grandstand) 11am- Dog Agility (Horse arena- enter do not go near barns withdogs!!!)
