DEVIL'S LAKE CAMPOUT Friday, July 6, 7, 8 Organizational Committee: Todd Harris, Mischa Miller Even though the Stepping Stones 4-H Club is finalizing it's 3rd year, this is actually an annual event that dates back 7 years when the Miller family belonged to it's first 4-H club (now disbanded) What began as a 1 day nature & photo hike to our family's favorite spot on earth, picnic & swim, has turned into a 3 day family outing to nurture the souls of some 50 "fair-wearied" bodies. The event has gotten bigger & better every year. This year we have expanded the reservation to cover the weekend after Independance Day Holiday, paid for by the club's funding. We are looking forward to this years many experiences. YOUR EXPENSES Vehicle Stickers Pitch in for wood $5.00/person boat rental Possibly shower fees Food Dance costs possible Miscellaneous (Gift shop) LOCATION We have Group Campsite #1, located on the beautiful South shore of Devil's Lake. It is very secluded although there are a couple other Group sites located in our 'loop".Within the loop, there is a playing field and restroom facilities. Shower facilities are located at the beach and we will be making nightly visits there. There is no electricity but a couple trailors will be there with generators. It is the same site we had last year and everyone enjoyed it RULES Dogs must be on leash or attended in tent at all times. Owners must clean up after their animals. Rabies vaccines must be current. No child leaves the campsite unattended. Everyone supplies their own tent, equipment, & food All food will be secured in vehicles at night. (Racoons are AMAZING!!!)
