I was born on 10th September 1976 in the town of Colchester, England. Upto the age of 5 I lived in the seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea. Then my parents, my sister and I moved to Thorpe-le-Soken a village 8 kilometers away. It was here I went to school until 14. In these days the world was very small! When I was 10 I had a major operation on my back to straighten my spine. My family was highly supportive during this time.

Teenager

As a teenager I went to school at Frinton-on-sea, a retirement town! In 1995 my higher education began at Lancaster University.

Me at Tower Bridge, London, November 2003

Twenties

When I was 22 I had a second operation on my back but only 6 months later I started my masters. Two years later I began to do travelling first exploring Europe by train. Then in 2002 I jetted off to Australia for four months. A short stop in Hong Kong followed. Then last September I had three amazing weeks in Japan. I really love to travel. Please look at my travel galleries.

A fairly quiet person I really like to meet people from all over the world, and recently have taken a great interest in Asia. In October 2003 I started a PhD on the seismic hazard of China.

Thanks for stopping by and please take a few moments to look at my wonderful life to date.

Have fun.
