124. Out of Seoul



Wed - Seoul to Cheonan to Konju
Took train towards Konju - stopped off at Cheonan to visit the huge Independence Hall a museum celebrating the expulsion of the Japanese and Korean history.

KonjuMy first traditional hotel really like 15th century China. Sleeping on floor.

Thu- The Ancient PAkje royal tombs in Konju and Puyo
museum1500 year old PAche burial mounds, similar to prehistoric England also reminded me of the many Peruvian pyramids. Why was it so important to bury the dead so elaborately ?

Walked the fortress walls

went to the old Paeche capital of Puyo - museum, gardens temple shrines etc. YHA

I got my photos developed, but they screwed them up. No photos of Fiji !

Fri- Gyer-Yong-san NP
Went back Konju to Gyer-Yong-san National Park . Had a look at the Gapsa temple and set up camp, but no-one else was camping,
Sat -
big climb good views boring temple. is it worth it ? students, makoli

Again no one else was camping so I went to investigate the music I heard at the Youth Hostel - saw an American type hype sales conference and met a company party where they invited to eat and drink and Karaoke they said they had ordered food and beer for 100 people but only 20 people had turned up.
