3. On TV

Thursday was a very busy day

I started off helping My You build a traditional shelter. He cut log beams with a chainsaw then fitted then together with huge nails.

Then Mr Khan from CCS-TV came down to do an interview.

After lunch I went to the local school. The English teacher Miss Ar Lee had organized for me to give a lecture to about 40 16 year olds. This they also filmed for TV.

Arriving at school it was all very formal they first introduced me to the principal then asked me which University I had been to. It went quite well; they laughed and cheered I had been worried that the pupils wouldn't understand anything, but I could tell from their response that they could understand at least 50 %.

I went for a run then at the supermarket we bought cornflakes so I don't have to eat spiced vegetables for breakfast.

In the evening we went to a Kalve °₯Ίρ restaurant. I felt sorry for Mrs, because she still had to cook ! The table had a small BBQ in the centre, they bring you a plate of raw meat and you have to cut it and cook it yourself. It was quite good; there was heaps of meat, beef ribs and it wasn't spicey. Of course most of the small accompanying side dishes were strange and spicey to me, but a couple were OK; a good apple salad (salada) and cucumber.

We watched the CCS report about us on the news. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was very positive. Korean people don't know anything about WWOOFing so report featured me explaining about it and Mr Myou and Pun Seok talking about their "alternative life"
