Now is the
time to become involved!
Many of us are
aware that archery if a fun sport and all ages can participate. We
each have possibly a particular style of archery we prefer over
another. For those of use that have been in archery for a few
years or longer we are seeing fewer and fewer archery pro-shops that
have ranges and places to practice are becoming fewer. Many of us
live within city limits and practicing in our backyards is not
possible. This is brought this to your attention only because St
Louis Bow Hunters is a fine club promoting archery for the entire
family and promotes the different styles of archery for everyone's
enjoyment. We have a place to practice archery for now!!
Our club
differs from a business since the club is run with the voluntary
help of the club's membership.
Most
maintenance on the indoor range has been done by the club's
membership, your website, membership cards and flyers are
voluntarily done by the club's membership. Setting up and running
the tournaments (3D and indoor) are voluntarily done by the club's
membership. Picking up the food needed at the 3D shoots, cooking and
serving food at the 3D shoots are positions voluntarily filled.
Everyone looks forward to placing in a tournament and looks forward
to receiving a trophy for their performance. Someone has
volunteered their time assuring trophies are available for such
events. Club members voluntarily open the indoor range for everyone
to practice. Members voluntarily do running and organizing the
leagues. Our club's board devotes many hours to your club that
allows us to maintain a responsible archery club for everyone's
enjoyment.
We have an
outstanding membership in the St Louis Bow Hunters Archery Club, but
we are sorry to say only a small portion of our membership decides
to volunteer their time for the positions needed. We are coming to a
critical point in our club for new volunteers to step up in our
club. We thank and appreciate everyone's help for the positions they
held this year but everyone needs time off if they would choose to
do so.
Wouldn't you
like to become involved? Please, let us know what you would be
interested in helping with.
