General Information

Meeting Point
There are two choices of meeting places for each weekend walk.

Firstly you can meet us in the Harlow Town Park car park in School Lane adjacent to the Greyhound pub at 0930 unless stated otherwise in the programme. This gives us the opportunity to minimise the number of cars used and save fuel. Click here to see a map

Alternatively, you can make your own way to the starting point of the walk, as shown on the programme. The map number and the OS grid ref are shown next to each walk

General Information
We always carry food and drink, although a pub stop is arranged for most walks. If not the walk is described as a 'dry walk'. Water is essential for all walks. First aid kits are carried by several members

During the winter months mud can be a problem, walking poles are an advantage in these conditions. For extreme wet conditions Wellingtons or Derri boots are a suitable alternative to boots. It is advisable to always carry water-proofs.
