Strandhill Golf Club is an internationally renowned 18-hole golf course (links). It is tucked away amongst the sand dunes that line the shore, and incorporates scenic views of Sligo Bay and its surroundings.

Although it is short, the par of just 69 provides a stern challenge and the course's many doglegs must be negotiated successfully to return a decent score.

Many of these doglegs provide inviting shortcuts but the course is exposed to the Atlantic winds that blow off Sligo Bay and provide the main obstacle to a successful round.

Not to be underestimated by the proficient golfer, Strandhill is an excellent choice for higher handicaps who seek a beautiful landscaped links challenge..
