Parish
Ministries
Life at Saint Raphael involves numerous ministries, each of which has attracted
many laymen and women. Indeed, the life of the parish relies on the talents
and dedication of these volunteers. Parish ministries include:
Liturgy and Spiritual Life (Eucharistic ministers,
altar servers, greeters, lectors, choir/musician, sacristans, Baptismal preparation
team, Marriage preparation team, retreats and days/evenings of recollection);
Religious Education (elementary instruction, adult
education, youth ministry (junior high and high school, summer Vacation Bible
School, Confirmation preparation, sacramental preparation teams (Baptism,
Eucharist, Reconciliation, Confirmation and Matrimony), the Pastor's Class,
adult conversions, seasonal Family Faith Festivals, CYO basketball, etc.);
Social Affairs (parish breakfasts, suppers and other
activities); and
Family Ministry and Social Justice (Food Pantry,
Hope Chest and stewardship committee for tithing, bereavement luncheons,
prayer shawl ministry, etc.). |
